Luxury Silk Care Guide
Luxury Silk Care Guide
Welcome to the exquisite world of silk! Our silk lingerie and bedding are designed to provide ultimate comfort and elegance. To ensure your luxurious silk items remain beautiful for years to come, please follow these care instructions.
Washing Silk
- Detergent: Use only natural and mild detergent specifically designed for silk. Do not use synthetic detergents! These can damage the fibers and cause silk to lose its beautiful sheen.
- Machine Wash: If using a washing machine, select the hand wash, silk, or wool program with a maximum temperature of 30°C (86°F) and a gentle spin cycle of no more than 600 RPM. NB! A delicate cycle may not always be suitable, as drying can be too intense.
- Hand Wash: Always a safe choice. Use lukewarm water (up to 30°C) and gently press rather than wring the fabric.
- Laundry Bags: For smaller silk items, we recommend using a laundry bag to protect the delicate fabric from mechanical damage.
Drying Silk
- Air Drying: Hang the item to dry in a shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight, which can bleach and weaken the fabric.
- No Tumble Drying! The heat from a tumble dryer can damage silk fibers and make the fabric dull. Never use a tumble dryer!
Ironing Silk
- Always iron on the reverse side!
- Iron While Slightly Damp: Silk is best ironed when slightly damp. You may also use a damp ironing cloth for added protection.
- Low Temperature: Use a low heat setting and avoid excessive steam.
Storing Silk
- Store in a dry and shaded place, away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid storing silk garments with rough fabrics (such as denim or coarse linen) to prevent friction and damage.
If you care for your silk products with love and attention, they will remain stunning, retain their luster and softness, and bring luxury and joy to your life for years to come.
You have made an excellent choice by selecting Edith Exclusive luxury products!
